iPhone 5 – A Review of What the Newest Apple Smartphone Generation Has [Guest Post]

If you’re an avid internet blog reader, I bet you must have read one or two stories about the latest Smartphone from mobile phone manufacturing company, Apple Inc. Now, you shouldn’t expect exactly the same thing that was in the iPhone 4S that was released barely a year ago to be what you’ll find in the iPhone 5. You’ll be expecting some new big exciting packages and features from the Smartphone.

If you’re a true iPhone-fan, then I bet the features of this new Smartphone by Apple won’t disappoint you at all.

Let’s share the details of the iPhone 5 which Apple released officially on Wednesday 12 September below.

New Chipset

Apple’s iPhones have been extremely popular and highly respected partly because of their speed performance. It’s a rough ride to come by Smartphones that are as fast as the iPhone and yet packed with a lot of stuffs like they are.

Just like we saw the previous itinerary of the Apple iPhone get a new A5 chip, this one is no exception as it gets a new, more powerful A6 chip. This A6 chipset, is said to make the iPhone 5 perform with the speed twice that of the iPhone 4S. This is great news for hardcore gamers that would be loading games that consume a lot of graphics on their device.

Of course, the display is the 4-inch screen we’ve all been talking about for long, even months before the phone is released. With icons sitting on five rows, the 16:9 display runs at 1136 by 640. And according to Apple’s Phil Schiller, it’s the most accurate display in the industry because the touch sensors are also embedded in the display as well.

For the iPhone 4S, one would be straight up that the power life of the phone was nothing to write home about. This is something that has been adjusted in the iPhone 5. Although the iPhone 5 is so powerful that it does much more than the iPhone 4S, it’s not so power-hungry. You get 8 hours of 3G talk time and a nice 8 hours of 3G and LTE web surfing on the iPhone 5.

The iPhone 5 is thinner than the iPhone 4S. It’s 20% lighter than iPhone 4S and also 18% thinner. And the phone is baked from glass and aluminum.

Apple has improved the iPhone’s audio system by boosting it with a smaller and yet stronger speaker. And now you get three microphones, one in the front, another in the back and yet another in the bottom.

Apple has decided not to increase the megapixels of the iPhone this time around, but has decided to add more powerful features. The 8 megapixels iSight camera now has in-built panorama mode. The camera also supports 1080p video capture, a feature that allows you to capture images while you’re recording.

Overall, you’ll agree with me that the iPhone 5 is an excellent device from Apple. I still can’t tell how I’ll feel when I hold the iPhone 5 on my hands.
